Meet our Founder

Andrea Southard, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting children and families across hospital and outpatient clinical settings. Throughout her career, she has worked with infants, toddlers, and children navigating feeding challenges, developmental differences, sensory processing needs, and functional skill development.

Andrea’s approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and respect for each child’s unique strengths. She believes that meaningful progress happens when therapy feels safe, engaging, and connected to a child’s everyday life.

Her passion for feeding therapy and family-centered care also grew from personal experience. When her own daughter faced significant feeding challenges early in life, Andrea experienced firsthand the uncertainty and stress that many families navigate. That journey deepened her commitment to supporting parents not only as a therapist, but as a partner walking alongside them.

Andrea founded Nourish Pediatric Therapy with the goal of creating a supportive, welcoming space where children and families can build skills, confidence, and connection together.

The Nourish Approach

Nourish is built on a trust-based, responsive approach that meets each child where they are.

Drawing from experience across medical and outpatient settings, we focus on helping children build skills while maintaining a positive connection to food, movement, and everyday life.

We partner closely with families to support meaningful progress—helping each child grow in confidence and participation in the moments that matter most.

Collaboration with Pediatric Providers

At Nourish Pediatric Therapy, we believe children thrive when the professionals supporting them work together. We regularly collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, and other members of a child’s care team to ensure therapy supports each child’s broader developmental and health goals.

When appropriate, we communicate with referring providers to share progress updates and coordinate care so families receive thoughtful, consistent support.

We welcome collaboration with pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, early intervention providers, and school teams.

If you are a healthcare provider or educator seeking support for a child, we welcome the opportunity to partner in care.
